Ok, I have to admit again I often start projects and never complete them.  This is a personal challenge that I am trying to work on.  Since I’ve been told to stop jumping from project to project I challenged myself to complete the Simple Lace Summer Top on from CrochetNCrafts.  I loved the fact that this top looked classy and simple without shaping.

As the pattern stated you can use any yarn and hook size and I did just that.  As a further challenge for me, I used a thinner cotton yarn and went up a hook size.  I’ve never worked with Bernat Cotton-ish yarn and it was sale, yay!  Four skeins of Cotton Harvest (Burnt Orange) was used to complete my Crochet Challenge Top while I listened/watched the series of Scandal again.  That Olivia Pope is a force to be reckoned with.

Boom, pow, in about two weeks this lovely and airy top was created.  It took me actually three weeks to make because I was working on other projects in between.  This yarn will be perfect for any summertime top and will accommodate my many hot flashes.  It sure does suck getting old!
